Part 1
Video 3 – the investigation begins
- Kalden and Razitof, estranged siblings. Apparently.
- “despite my efforts” – were you matchmaking? Or dragging people out for fun when they stay in their offices too much
- so many secrets being kept from each other, and the file on Cicero is huuuuuuge
- secret cupboard – to weird floating pollen cubes in glass bell jars? Fae?
- they’re like mini aliens. Attack of the hungry insectoid fae things
-fey not fae
- the quiet order – wasn’t there a previous npc conversation about that? Quiet something was definitely mentioned
- Lucia – does Cicero know she’s the one who stopped his brother? Probably not
- but she’s the one who got him here. And giving us an encyclopedia of information about the investigative process, though not what it was about.
- and hey, now we know a bit about her agenda – though why couldn’t she go by herself? More about the Maskrunners and their resources.
Kalden runs an orphanage.
Hey Tristan
How the Quiet order got overrun, and taken. Hmmm. Sounds like… SPIES. Or an informant.
And now for some B&E – into the sewers we go! Apparently back gates aren’t a consideration because why not assault the front gates?
What are mists? The little bug carapace things? No wait, they’re fey.
The green goop trail is kind of gross from the Greater Bolgia boss
So the fey likely have something to do with the masks? Maybe? Or at least magic, since they appear to be rather uncommon, or were.
Unsurprisingly, the Citte has a propaganda machine
Guess there’s no going back up that ladder. And uh, oops, now the people know you’re here.
- infiltration mission time!
Video 4 – Sewer sewer sewer
- I too would like to know who the Herald is.
- i really do like how walls appear and disappear as needed to give players a view of what’s going on
- also who keeps summoning up fey?
- I hadn’t noticed the glowy fists on Kalden before
- so the masks have to be forged to work. So, raw magic. Or you know, the fey?
- the glowing mold stuff in the Quiet order is so pretty
- Illegal fey trafficking?!?
- man, running in the opposite direction of all the other maskrunners isn’t suspicious at all… (look I don’t mean to keep jumping the gun. )
- apparently masks aren’t so unique as to be identifiers, but clothing is.
- this guy playing the game has a really bad time with archers/projectile fighters
- warehouse – are those bloodstains? Leading to a magic circle?
- natural disinfectant – okay what needed to be cleaned up>
- paper fey were called up and caught in the jars à Someone interrupted the summoning?
- who does that? Just cut themselves and set off magic circles?
Who just does that? Why did you…
Why the palm? I know Kalden can patch you up quick but palms are sensitive. There are better places to cut!!!!!! MUCH MUCH BETTER. GDI tropes.
And yes – blood in circle for fey summoning.
Fey trafficking!!!!!!
Who’s the Lady? Amadea?
And Cicero is basically Oops. And gdi there’ goes all his leads. Lost in the wind. Tristan knows him too well. Friends, right?
You know what – this is a definite aside, but imagine Cicero being exiled deliberately. But nah, that’s too much. All inspectorres are sneaky, probably – just not all are as much of a rule bender as Cicero.
But betcha 5 dollars that the Herald also knows way too much about the investigation now.
FIGHT TIME.
MORE FIGHT TIME.
Imagine if there was friendly fire.
Is Valencio the equivalent of a general?
And man oh man oh man, the whole bit about his brother. Haha. Oh no. Class systems are really hitting hard, especially considering his own background
Video 5 - Not the books.
Dress uniforms!
But I have thoughts. And … the game confirms it in the next speech. Yeah, totally conflicted about being part of the system that makes life for the contadanis so difficult.
Whoop whoop let’s make this whole thing into a political play while we’re at it. The guilds want to know about how to one up each other.
Luca – lawmaster. Hmmmmm
Wait wait wait what are they trying? What science are they doing on that table? WHAT
GDI npcs, come back
… oh, that is oddly specific.
Okay, so Cicero has a reputation. Gosh, it’s kinda like James Bond in certain circles. Stirring up shit, unlike his martinis
Oooh, did they just run into a maskrunner attack. Yep. Yep they did.
WHAT DID THEY DO TO THAT LIBRARY
And the quest buddies, their elements say a lot about their personalities.
Man, it would have been nice if maybe they kept one of them alive for questioning~
The flying book threw pages at them! CUTE! But papercuts are freaking painful
It has taken me this long to confirm the floating exclamation mark is where they need to go next.
Folktales, history and other things. What could it be about? HMMMMMM calling and binding of the fey? How to use the magic they have and change it to useable forms?
Book monsters! They’re so cute. It’s like if the billy goats gruff were paper fiends. They turn back into BOOKS
Aside: How much residual magic is floating around if the fey are appearing when they want to?
But but but the books. T-T WHY DIDN”T YOU USE A GLOSSARY
Steepled fingers of stone… mountains?
Oh, ruins.
So the mists are sort of incorporeal versions of the fey, and if enough gets concentrated, they can be called up with a physical body?
What about the little bug ones? Were they pure ectoplasm? Or…. if the green gross stuff was sewage… were they Sewer monsters? That’s even worst. Just think of what infections you could pick up from those things. EW
