fandomweeklylarissaso far the treatment the hand doc gave me has been wholly ineffective. i am... not thrilled about this, especially as it means i'm still in pain. i have to wait another week to see if it works, but if not, back to the doctor we go...
in other news, i have signed up for nepenthee's ghost of you shrine challenge, which i'm excited about. i haven't actually made any progress on my site yet on account of all the other stuff going on, but i'm hoping to put my head down and work on it soon. this time of year is usually my least productive when it comes to site-making, so it'd be nice to change that for once.
i still haven't really touched ff tactics; at this point i think i might wait until my hands are fully better and i can devote real time to it. other than that, i've continued to do an awful lot of reading. while there's no way i can hit my 2025 book goal of 40 books (i'm only at 17 right now), i've made much more progress than expected given i did no reading until june. silver blessings of a hand injury...
i have no idea what i'm going to do next month for my usual november writing. now that nanowrimo is dead i don't have the compulsion to write 50k (and i don't think it would be advisable this year) but i'd like to make SOME progress... we'll see.

Sometimes people who go into the forest don’t come back at all – or they come back changed. Write a story about a dark forest. hand still hurts. i did see the doctor, but we'll see if what he gave me actually helps... i really hope so, because this sucks! i'm tired of my hand hurting! sob.
in other news, i have managed to play a little bit more video games, though not that much. i really want to get into tactics, but i'm mostly waiting on my hand before i properly dive into it. even writing has been shaky some days when i haven't been able to type much.
still been reading a lot in lieu of other hobbies. the fact that i read 3 books in full last week and got 40% through a third before i DNF'd it tells you a lot...

But whoever lived here once, they’re long-gone now. So what are your characters doing there? A renovation project? Investigating a mystery? Taking shelter from bad weather or a long journey?
