Thanks to the mods over at
twreversebang for running this and making sure everything went smoothly behind the scenes. Thanks to
zookyguy for writing to there. I know this isn't an easy set of pictures to come up with plot for.
This was originally intended as a set of character studies, starting with the non-werewolf teens in town, and grew from there. Birds were chosen for symbolism and location, more information is included under each graphic.

Bird: Gyrfalcon
Gyrfalcons are the largest of the falcon-form family, they're found in regions of North America and France, and can be raised as hunting birds. The birds have a range of colouring, one of which is silver. Falcons are known to hunt on the wing; that is the birds are able to hunt other flying creatures, unlike other raptors.
The gyrfalcon serves as a emblem of Allison's hunting heritage, especially with regards to her skills with the bow. She's supposed to be the leader of her group; she needs to think quickly to maker her decisions. Sometimes, that can result in mistakes (especially with inexperience), but once started, she's committed - much like the strike of a falcon.

Bird: Black footed Albatross
A seabird, the black footed albatross can be found off the coast of Hawaii. Its scientific name can mean "a violent wind" or "storm". It is interesting to note that breeding behaviour include courtship dances, though the number of birds one would interact with decreases with mate selection, (they mate for life).
Albatrosses have been attributed to both good and bad luck, being both a guide or an omen. Killing an albatross leads to bad luck, and can lead to obstacles and troubles.
Given what we know of Danny, (not much as of end of S2), he is sort of that one bird in the middle of the storm.

Bird: Barn Owl
Barn owls have a very distinct screech.
Owls are commonly associated with intelligence and the night. They've been associated with magic, either as a familiar, or as an omen of death/misfortune (culturally dependent). In Greek myth, owls are linked with the Goddess Athena, who not only is the goddess of wisdom, but also of war.

Bird: Common Raven
Playful, intelligent, and probably too curious for their own good, ravens, like owls, can represent very different things depending on culture. Many see them as omens of death and war, as they are scavengers, but they also have been linked to communication and magic. Ravens tend towards smaller groups, often seen in pairs, rather than in larger flocks.
